and you thought he did his first veto

since no press was allowed to see the first veto, me thinks there was more to it.
He signed the veto, then made one of his famous signing statements which read.
“me did’nt actually sign the veto, he he, and the bill is still dead, he he”, in crayon of course 😉

Worth flagging that this approach to the topic is fresh without being contrarian, and a stop at cavaroline extended the same fresh angle, finding original perspective on familiar subjects is rare and this site has clearly developed its own way of seeing rather than echoing the dominant takes from elsewhere consistently.

Most of the time I bounce off similar pages within seconds, and a stop at OldSchoolOpen held me longer than I would have predicted, the ability to convert a likely bouncing visitor into an engaged reader is a quality signal and this site has demonstrated that conversion ability across multiple visits where I expected to bounce.

Liked the post enough to read it twice and the second read found new things, and a stop at OldSchoolOpen similarly rewarded the second look, content with hidden depths that only reveal themselves on careful rereading is the rare kind that earns lasting respect rather than fleeting first impressions only briefly held.

One of the more thoughtful posts I have read recently on this topic, and a stop at banehmagic added even more weight to that impression, this is genuinely good content that holds its own against far better known sites in the same space without trying to imitate any of them at all which I appreciate.

Now realising the post solved a small problem I had been carrying for weeks, and a look at dondatheverge extended that problem solving function, content that connects to specific unresolved questions in my own life rather than just providing general interest is content with real practical impact and this site is providing that practical value.

  • Kyrieneete · 08/01/2026 at 10:54 PM

A piece that reads like it was written for me without claiming to be written for me, and a look at xelariounion produced the same fit, when the writer audience match clicks naturally without being engineered through demographic targeting you know the writing is solid and this site has that natural fit consistently for me.

  • DavonJoymn · 08/01/2026 at 10:54 PM

Liked the careful selection of which details to include and which to skip, and a stop at wellthwithcallie reflected the same editorial judgement, knowing what to leave out is just as important as knowing what to include and this site has clearly figured out where that line sits for the topics it covers regularly.

  • Bjornpar · 08/01/2026 at 10:58 PM

Looking through the archives suggests this site has been doing this for a while at this level, and a look at customerfirstshoppinghub confirmed the long term consistency, sites that have maintained quality across years rather than just a recent stretch are sites with serious editorial discipline and this one has clearly been at it for a while.

So — been on this thing for maybe five months now and I keep coming back so figured Id write something up since someone asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK generally stick to footie and the horses small stakes just so you know where Im coming from. How I found it was actually embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an e/w payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Id just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in first every time even the boring singles. The single bet calculator is the part Im on daily — type in stake and odds and it spits out returns instantly either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles returns lucky 15 and lucky 63 yankees which is where I always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about its over at lucky 15 and theres no login wall which I appreciated. One thing that actually changed how I bet was the more serious extras. The odds-to-probability thing that shows the overround and theres the kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when Im splitting a race. Couple of gripes. The interface looks pretty plain — zero frills looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone its fine though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also theres no app its a website and thats it — fine by me but you asked. Anyway. Costs nowt barely any ads works. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app give it a go — saves me a load of arguments with the bookie.

So — have been messing about with this thing for maybe four months now and I keep coming back so thought Id say something since someone asked me last week. Am based in the UK mainly do football and horses nothing mad just so you know where Im coming from. What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I could never work out what an each way payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and then be surprised. These days I punch the numbers in first every time even a straight one-selection punt. The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — type in your stake the odds and you get profit and total return straight away either odds format. It also handles the multiples — trebles returns lucky 15 and lucky 63 yankees honestly thats where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself its over at match betting calculator and its free with no account nonsense. One thing that genuinely shifted things for me is the geekier tools. Theyve got an implied probability thing which shows you the overround and theres the kelly tool — I use half kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too when Im splitting a race. Not all sunshine though. The design feels pretty plain — no flash its clearly function over form. On mobile its fine but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Theres nothing on the app store its browser only — doesnt bother me but worth saying. So yeah. Doesnt cost anything barely any ads works. If you still does the maths on paper have a look — saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

  • ColbyHah · 08/01/2026 at 11:04 PM

Working through this site has been a small antidote to the shallow content that fills most of my reading time, and a stop at dondatheverge extended that antidote function, sites that quietly improve the average quality of my reading by being themselves are sites worth supporting through return visits and recommendations consistently.

  • single_ffki · 08/01/2026 at 11:06 PM

OK — been on this thing for something like a few months now and its stuck on my phone so thought Id chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. Am UK based generally bet football and racing a fiver here and there just so you know where Im coming from. How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an ew payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically Id eyeball it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before every slip even a straight one-selection punt. The single bet calculator is the part I open most — you drop in your stake the odds and you get profit and total return instantly fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — trebles returns a lucky 15 patents and yankees honestly thats where Id always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about its over at lucky 63 and theres no login wall which I appreciated. What really changed how I bet was the geekier bits. Theyve got an probability calculator which shows you how much the bookies taking and theres the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. Dutching calculator is handy too for when Im covering two or three runners. Its not perfect mind. The layout feels a bit basic — no polish its clearly function over form. On mobile its usable though the acca grid are a squeeze. Theres nothing on the app store its a website and thats it — fine by me but worth saying. So yeah. Doesnt cost anything barely any ads works. Anyone who honestly adds it up in their head try it — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

Bookmark added in three places to make sure I do not lose the link, and a look at zavirotrustco got the same redundant treatment, sites I am afraid to lose are the rare keepers and this is clearly one of them based on what I have read so far across this and a couple of related posts.

  • single_voki · 08/01/2026 at 11:12 PM

So — been using this thing for about five months now and its basically bookmarked at this point so thought Id chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Im in the UK mostly do football and horses small stakes just so you know where Im coming from. What got me on it was actually embarrassing — I never could work out what an ew return would be when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in before every slip even the boring singles. The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in your stake the odds and it spits out profit and total return straight away fractional or decimal doesnt matter. Theres also the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths a lucky 15 a yankee which is where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about its here betting super heinz and its free with no account nonsense. What actually changed how I bet is the geekier bits. Theres an implied probability thing and it makes obvious the overround and a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent when Im covering two or three runners. Not all sunshine though. The interface is very functional lets say — not much polish which honestly I dont mind but some will. On mobile its fine but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. And no app just the site — doesnt bother me but you asked. Anyway. Free no ads shoved in your face works. If anyone still does the maths on paper have a look — its saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

  • MarcusJah · 08/01/2026 at 11:12 PM

Time spent here today felt productive in the way that good reading sessions sometimes do, and a stop at apkcontainer extended that productive feeling across the rest of the morning, the difference between productive reading and merely passing time is real and this site is consistently on the productive side for me lately.

  • ColbyHah · 08/01/2026 at 11:16 PM

Spent a few minutes here and came away with a clearer picture of the topic, the writing keeps things simple without dumbing them down, and after a stop at dondatheverge the rest of the points lined up neatly which is something I appreciate when I am short on time and need answers fast.

  • Lelandnib · 08/01/2026 at 11:17 PM

Appreciated that the writer trusted the reader to follow along without constant restating of earlier points, and a look at zavirotrustco continued that respect for the reader, treating an audience as capable adults rather than as people to be hand held through every paragraph is something I notice and value highly across the open internet today.

  • Ervinjot · 08/01/2026 at 11:20 PM

Worth flagging this post as worth a careful read rather than a casual skim, and a stop at navirobond earned the same careful approach, the few sites that warrant slower reading are sites I now treat differently from the daily content stream and this one has clearly moved into that elevated treatment category.

  • Richardvem · 08/01/2026 at 11:21 PM

Top tier post, the kind that makes you want to share the link with friends working in the same area, and a stop at thesandiegoleague only made me more confident in doing that, this site is one of the better resources I have seen on the topic recently across both new and older posts.

  • JaredSop · 08/01/2026 at 11:22 PM

Felt slightly impressed without being able to point to one specific reason, and a look at ThirtyMale continued that diffuse positive feeling, when content works at a level you cannot easily articulate the writer is doing something with craft rather than just delivering information and that is something I have learned to recognise.

  • Elmerlef · 08/01/2026 at 11:26 PM

Came away with some new perspectives I had not considered before, and after cavaroline those ideas felt more complete, the kind of content that stays with you a little while after reading rather than slipping out the moment you switch tabs and move on with your day to whatever comes next.

  • JaredSop · 08/01/2026 at 11:31 PM

Reading this in a quiet hour and finding it suited the quiet, and a stop at ThirtyMale extended the quiet reading mood, content that matches its own optimal reading conditions rather than fighting them is content that has been thoughtfully calibrated and this site reads as having a particular reading mood in mind throughout.

  • Kyrieneete · 08/01/2026 at 11:31 PM

Genuinely useful read, the points are practical and easy to apply right away, and a quick look at xelariounion confirmed that this site is consistent in that approach, looking forward to digging through the rest of it when I get the chance to sit down properly later in the week or this weekend.

  • KylePieda · 08/01/2026 at 11:31 PM

Solid little post, the kind that does not need to be flashy because the substance is doing the work, and a look at shopthomasashbourne kept that quiet confidence going across the site, this is what writing looks like when the writer trusts the content to land on its own without theatrics or unnecessary attention seeking behaviour.

A nicely understated post that does not shout for attention and a look at samsungfoundryforum maintained the same quiet quality understatement is a stylistic choice that distinguishes serious writing from attention seeking writing and this site has clearly committed to the understated approach as a core editorial value rather than just a phase.

  • NicoKap · 08/01/2026 at 11:40 PM

Closed the tab feeling I had spent the time well, and a stop at thebattlebeginsmerchandise extended that feeling across more pages, the test of whether time on a site was well spent is one I apply silently after closing tabs and very few sites pass it but this one passed it cleanly today afternoon clearly.

  • single_aoki · 08/01/2026 at 11:40 PM

Reading this with a notebook open turned out to be the right move, and a stop at ThirtyMale added more material to the notes, content that justifies active note taking from a passive reader is content with real informational density and this site is producing notes worthy material at a high rate consistently.

  • single_xoki · 08/01/2026 at 11:42 PM

Started taking notes about halfway through because the points were stacking up, and a look at customerfirstshoppinghub added enough material that my notes file grew further, content that demands note taking from a passive reader is content with substance and the writers here are clearly producing that kind of work consistently across topics.
