and you thought he did his first veto

since no press was allowed to see the first veto, me thinks there was more to it.
He signed the veto, then made one of his famous signing statements which read.
“me did’nt actually sign the veto, he he, and the bill is still dead, he he”, in crayon of course 😉

Different in a good way from the cookie cutter content that fills most blogs covering this area, and a stop at HanaCapeCoral kept showing me why, original thoughtful writing exists if you know where to look and this site has earned a place on my short list of those rare exceptions worth defending.

So — been using this thing for about six months now and its basically bookmarked at this point so thought Id say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK mostly stick to footie and the horses small stakes so take it how you like. How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an each way return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Id just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything even a straight one-selection punt. Their single bet calculator is the part I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing fractional or decimal doesnt matter. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles returns lucky 15 and lucky 63 patents and yankees and thats where most people I know got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about its here betting dutching calculator and its free with no account nonsense. One thing that actually made a difference was the geekier bits. The implied probability converter which shows you what margins baked in and theres the kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when Im spreading across selections. Not all sunshine though. The layout looks a bit basic — zero polish looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise its usable though the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also theres nothing on the app store just the site — fine by me just flagging it. So yeah. Free not plastered in adverts does the job. Anyone who even now works out returns on a calculator app give it a go — saves me a load of wait thats it? moments.

A memorable post for me on a topic I had thought I was tired of, and a look at zylavocapital suggested the same site can refresh other tired topics, sites that can revive my interest in subjects I had written off as exhausted are doing rare work and this one is clearly doing that for me today.

The pacing of the post was just right, never rushed and never dragged out unnecessarily, and a look at HanaCapeCoral maintained the same rhythm, you can tell the writer has experience because the difficult skill of pacing is something only practiced writers manage to handle well in long form content over time and across formats.

  • Richardvem · 08/01/2026 at 9:38 PM

Once you start reading carefully here it is hard to go back to lower quality alternatives, and a stop at thesandiegoleague reinforced that ratchet effect, the way good content raises standards is real over time and this site has clearly contributed to raising my expectations for what is possible in writing on the topic generally.

  • ColbyHah · 08/01/2026 at 9:39 PM

Spent a few minutes here and came away with a clearer picture of the topic, the writing keeps things simple without dumbing them down, and after a stop at dondatheverge the rest of the points lined up neatly which is something I appreciate when I am short on time and need answers fast.

  • Chrisvog · 08/01/2026 at 9:42 PM

However selective I am about new bookmarks this one made it past my filter, and a look at nolarobond confirmed the bookmark was worth the slot, the precious slots in my permanent bookmark folder are difficult to earn and this site earned one without making me think twice about whether the slot was justified by the quality.

Now realising the post has been quietly doing important work in my mind for the past hour, and a stop at kelvo extended that quiet processing, content that continues to do work after I close the tab is content with afterlife in the mind and this site is producing those long lived effects at a meaningful rate.

So — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and its basically bookmarked at this point so figured Id say something since someone asked me the other day. Im in the UK generally stick to footie and the horses small stakes so take it how you like. What got me on it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could figure out what an each way return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Id just eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in before I place anything even a straight one-selection punt. Their single bet calculator is the one Im on daily — you put in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return instantly either odds format. Theres also the fiddly ones — trebles returns lucky 15s patents and yankees honestly thats where I always mess it up. If you want a look it lives at no-vig — free no signup. One thing that really shifted things for me is the geekier bits. Theyve got an odds-to-probability converter that shows what margins baked in plus a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too when Im splitting a race. Its not perfect mind. Its layout is a bit basic — zero frills its clearly function over form. On mobile its fine though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also theres nothing on the app store just the site — doesnt bother me just flagging it. Right thats me. Costs nowt barely any ads works. If you honestly adds it up in their head give it a go — saved me a load of dumb bets Id have regretted.

  • TroyWep · 08/01/2026 at 9:48 PM

Now adding this to a list of sites I want to see flourish, and a stop at HanaCapeCoral reinforced that wish, the few sites I actively root for are sites that produce the kind of work I want more of in the world and this one has joined that small list based on what I have read so far.

  • Chrisvog · 08/01/2026 at 9:48 PM

Honestly this was a good read, no jargon and no padding, and a short look at nolarobond kept that same feel going which I really appreciated, the writer clearly knows the topic well enough to explain it without hiding behind big words or filler that often gets used to seem clever.

  • NicoHox · 08/01/2026 at 9:50 PM

Liked the post enough to read it twice and the second read found new things, and a stop at OldSchoolOpen similarly rewarded the second look, content with hidden depths that only reveal themselves on careful rereading is the rare kind that earns lasting respect rather than fleeting first impressions only briefly held.

  • Chrisvog · 08/01/2026 at 9:54 PM

Reading this in my last reading slot of the day was a good way to end, and a stop at nolarobond provided a satisfying close to the reading session, content that ends a day well rather than agitating it before sleep is the kind I value increasingly and this site fits that role for me consistently now.

  • Elmerlef · 08/01/2026 at 9:56 PM

Reading this triggered a small reorganisation of my own thinking on the topic, and a stop at cavaroline furthered that reorganisation, content that affects the shape of my mental model rather than just decorating it with new facts is content with structural rather than informational impact and this site provides that.

  • single_ynEa · 08/01/2026 at 9:56 PM

Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like six months now and I keep coming back reckon Id write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Im UK based generally do football and horses small stakes so take it how you like. The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I could never work out what an ew return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically Id guess and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in first every time even a straight one-selection punt. Their single bet calculator tool is the bit Im on daily — you drop in stake and odds and it shows returns straight away fractional or decimal doesnt matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles returns lucky 15 and lucky 63 yankees and thats where Id always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about its over at football acca calculator and theres no login wall which I appreciated. What really made a difference were the nerdier tools. Theres an odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious what margins baked in and a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is decent if Im spreading across selections. Its not perfect mind. Its layout is pretty plain — no frills its clearly function over form. Phone-wise its fine although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And nothing on the app store its browser only — doesnt bother me just flagging it. So yeah. Costs nowt not plastered in adverts does what it says. Anyone who still adds it up in their head have a look — saved me plenty of dumb bets Id have regretted.

OK — been on this thing for something like six months now and its basically bookmarked at this point reckon Id say something since a mate asked me the other day. Am based in the UK mostly do football and horses small stakes just so you know where Im coming from. The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could figure out what an e/w return would be when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in before every slip even the boring singles. Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — type in the price and your stake and it spits out returns with no faffing fractional or decimal doesnt matter. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths lucky 15s patents and yankees which is where Id always got it wrong. If you want a look its here free lucky 63 bet calculator — free no signup. One thing that genuinely made a difference was the geekier tools. Theres an implied probability converter that shows what margins baked in plus a kelly calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when Im splitting a race. Not all sunshine though. The interface feels very functional lets say — zero polish which honestly I dont mind but some will. Phone-wise it works though the bigger tables are a squeeze. Theres no proper app its browser only — slight shame just flagging it. Anyway. Free no ads shoved in your face does what it says. If anyone even now adds it up in their head try it — saves me a load of arguments with the bookie.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and its basically bookmarked at this point so thought Id chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me last week. Im based in the UK mainly do football and horses a fiver here and there so take it how you like. What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I never could figure out what an each way payout actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically Id eyeball it and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything even a simple single bet. The single bet calculator tool is the one I open most — you drop in stake and odds and you get returns instantly fractional or decimal doesnt matter. Theres also the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns a lucky 15 patents and yankees honestly thats where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself its over at matched betting matcher — free no signup. What actually made a difference were the nerdier tools. Theyve got an probability converter which shows you the overround plus a kelly staking tool — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too if Im spreading across selections. Couple of gripes. Its layout is pretty plain — zero flash its clearly function over form. On mobile it works though the acca grid are a squeeze. Also theres nothing on the app store its a website and thats it — doesnt bother me but you asked. So yeah. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sensible take on this topic without the usual marketing nonsense, and a look at ulviroline kept that grounded approach going, sites that stay focused on serving readers rather than monetising every click are rare and this is clearly one of those rare ones I really appreciate finding.

  • Lelandnib · 08/01/2026 at 10:04 PM

Over the course of reading several posts here a pattern of quality has emerged, and a stop at zavirotrustco confirmed the pattern, the difference between sites that hit quality occasionally and sites that hit it consistently is huge and this site has clearly demonstrated the consistent kind through what I have read this morning.

Most of the time I feel the open web is in decline and then I find a site like this, and a stop at ThirtyMale reinforced that mood lift, the cumulative effect of finding occasional excellent independent content versus the cumulative effect of finding mostly mediocre content is real for the long term reader maintaining web habits today.

Worth recommending broadly to anyone who reads on the topic, and a look at xelariounion only confirms that, the rare combination of accessibility and depth in this site makes it suitable for both newcomers and people who already know the area which is hard to pull off in any blog format today and rarely managed.

  • Spencergup · 08/01/2026 at 10:08 PM

Quiet confidence runs through the whole post, no need to shout to make the points stick, and a stop at ulviroline carried that same restrained voice forward, content that respects the reader by trusting its own substance rather than dressing it up in theatrical language is what I look for online and rarely actually find these days.

Now wondering how the writers calibrated the level of detail so well, and a stop at kazhanmaster continued the same calibration, the right level of detail is one of the harder editorial calls in any piece and this site has clearly developed an instinct for it through what I assume is years of careful practice publicly.

Now considering writing a longer note about the post somewhere, and a look at pelix added more material for that note, content that prompts me to write rather than just consume is content with generative energy and this site is producing that generative effect for me at a higher rate than most sources.

  • Richardvem · 08/01/2026 at 10:28 PM

Found something new in here that I had not seen explained this way before, and a quick stop at thesandiegoleague expanded the idea even further, the kind of writing that nudges your thinking forward a bit without forcing the issue is exactly what I look for online today and rarely actually find anywhere.

Quietly building a case in my head for why this site deserves more attention than it currently seems to receive, and a look at kazhanmaster reinforced the case, the gap between quality and recognition is a recurring frustration in independent online content and this site is one of the cases that seems particularly egregious to me today.

Definitely returning here, that is decided, and a look at OldSchoolOpen only made the case stronger, this is one of those rare websites that rewards regular visits rather than feeling stale after the first read which is something I cannot say about most of the places I bookmark today across all my topics.

  • SaulZit · 08/01/2026 at 10:37 PM

Reading this gave me a small refresher on something I had partially forgotten, and a stop at kazhanmaster extended the refresher, content that strengthens existing knowledge rather than just adding new is content with a particular kind of consolidating value and this site is providing that consolidating function across multiple visits.
