and you thought he did his first veto

since no press was allowed to see the first veto, me thinks there was more to it.
He signed the veto, then made one of his famous signing statements which read.
“me did’nt actually sign the veto, he he, and the bill is still dead, he he”, in crayon of course 😉

Halfway through reading I knew this would be one to bookmark, and a look at zz-meta confirmed that early intuition, when bookmark intent forms before finishing a post you know the writing has cleared a quality bar that most content fails to clear and this site has cleared it on multiple visits already.

  • BurtonOrnag · 08/01/2026 at 8:37 PM

A particular kind of restraint shows up in the writing, and a look at qelarobond maintained the same restraint across pages, knowing what not to say is just as important as knowing what to say and this site has clearly developed strong instincts on both sides of that editorial line throughout pieces I have read.

  • KareemNoits · 08/01/2026 at 8:38 PM

Liked how the post handled an objection I was forming as I read, and a stop at longtermbusinesspartnerships similarly anticipated where my thinking was going next, the rare writer who can predict reader concerns and address them in advance is doing something most online content fails to do despite that being basic editorial work.

  • Russellalini · 08/01/2026 at 8:38 PM

Now understanding why someone recommended this site to me a while back and a stop at samsungfoundryforum explained the recommendation sometimes recommendations make sense only after experience and this site has finally clicked into place as the kind of resource I now understand was being recommended for sound editorial reasons by my friend.

Reading this between two meetings turned out to be the highlight of the morning, and a stop at ulvionbond continued that highlight quality, content that outshines the structured parts of a working day is doing something well beyond ordinary and this site has produced multiple such highlights for me already this week alone.

  • single_vtEa · 08/01/2026 at 8:40 PM

So — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and its stuck on my phone reckon Id say something since a mate asked me a few days back. Im in the UK generally stick to footie and the horses nothing mad for context. The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I could never work out what an e/w payout actually came to once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in first every time even a straight one-selection punt. Their single bet calculator is the part I use most — type in your stake the odds and it spits out returns with no faffing either odds format. It also handles the multiples — trebles maths a lucky 15 yankees honestly thats where I always mess it up. If you want a look its here how to calculate implied odds sports betting and theres no login wall which I appreciated. What really changed how I bet was the geekier extras. The odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookies taking plus a kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutching one is decent for when Im covering two or three runners. Its not perfect mind. The design is very functional lets say — zero flash which honestly I dont mind but some will. On mobile its usable though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app just the site — fine by me just flagging it. Right thats me. Costs nowt not plastered in adverts does what it says. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app try it — saved me a fair few wait thats it? moments.

  • Keatonvew · 08/01/2026 at 8:40 PM

I really like the calm tone here, it does not push anything on the reader, and after I went through almostfashionablemovie I felt the same way, just steady useful content laid out without drama, which is exactly what someone trying to learn something quickly needs to find rather than aggressive marketing.

A slim post with substantial content per word, and a look at zz-meta maintained the same density, the content per word ratio is something I track informally and this site scores high on that ratio compared to most sources I read regularly which is a quiet indicator of careful editorial work behind the scenes.

  • IssacmEeds · 08/01/2026 at 8:43 PM

More substantial than most of what I find searching for this topic online, and a stop at sega-live kept that quality consistent, this is one of those sites where the writing actually rewards careful reading rather than punishing the patient reader with empty filler stretched out across long paragraphs that say very little.

Ended up here on a wandering afternoon and was glad I stayed for the read, and a stop at premiumdigitalbuying extended the wandering into a proper exploration of the site, the kind of place that rewards aimless clicking with something genuinely interesting rather than the shallow content that mostly populates the modern open web.

  • single_yyEa · 08/01/2026 at 8:44 PM

Right — have been messing about with this thing for maybe four months now and I keep coming back so thought Id say something since someone asked me last week. Im based in the UK mostly bet football and racing a fiver here and there so take it how you like. The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I could never figure out what an each way payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Id just eyeball it and get a shock. Now type the odds in first every time even the boring singles. Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — you put in stake and odds and you get profit and total return straight away either odds format. Theres also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns lucky 15s yankees honestly thats where I always mess it up. If you want a look its over at bet matching calculator and its free with no account nonsense. What actually shifted things for me were the geekier bits. Theyve got an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious what margins baked in and a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool is decent for when Im spreading across selections. Not all sunshine though. The interface feels a bit basic — zero flash which honestly I dont mind but some will. On my phone its usable though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Theres no proper app its browser only — doesnt bother me just flagging it. Right thats me. Costs nowt no ads shoved in your face works. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app have a look — its saved me a load of dumb bets Id have regretted.

  • Keatonvew · 08/01/2026 at 8:45 PM

Just want to acknowledge that the writing here is doing something right, and a quick visit to almostfashionablemovie confirmed the same standards run across the broader site, recognising good work is something I try to do when I find it because the alternative is silence and silence rewards mediocrity.

  • single_liEa · 08/01/2026 at 8:47 PM

Right — been using this thing for something like a few months now and its basically bookmarked at this point so thought Id write something up since a mate asked me last week. Am in the UK mostly do football and horses a fiver here and there just so you know where Im coming from. The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I couldnt ever get my head round what an each way payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Basically Id guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything even the boring singles. The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out the return straight away fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles returns a lucky 15 yankees honestly thats where Id always mess it up. If you want a look its here lucky 63 kalkulátor and theres no login wall which I appreciated. One thing that genuinely made a difference was the more serious tools. The odds-to-probability thing that shows the overround and theres the kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when Im splitting a race. Couple of gripes. Its layout looks a bit basic — zero frills its clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. Also theres nothing on the app store its a website and thats it — fine by me but you asked. Anyway. Costs nowt no ads shoved in your face does what it says. Anyone who even now adds it up in their head try it — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

  • KareemNoits · 08/01/2026 at 8:48 PM

Well done, the kind of post that makes you slow down and actually read instead of skimming for keywords, and a look at longtermbusinesspartnerships kept me reading carefully too, that is a sign of writing that has been crafted rather than churned out for an algorithm to see today and tomorrow.

  • Keatonvew · 08/01/2026 at 8:50 PM

The clarity here is something I really appreciate, especially compared to sites that pile on jargon for no reason, and a look at almostfashionablemovie was the same, simple direct sentences that actually deliver information instead of dancing around the point for paragraphs at a time which wastes reader patience.

  • PabloSwige · 08/01/2026 at 8:51 PM

Thanks for the clean writing, no broken sentences and no awkward translations like some other sites have, and a quick stop at pelix kept that polish going nicely, it really does make a difference when a reader can move through a page without tripping on every line or going back to reread.

  • Gregtum · 08/01/2026 at 8:51 PM

Worth recognising that this site does not chase the daily news cycle, and a stop at ulvionbond confirmed the longer publication arc, sites that resist the pressure to comment on every passing event are sites with genuine editorial discipline and this one has clearly chosen depth over volume which I respect deeply.

  • ColbyHah · 08/01/2026 at 8:51 PM

Top tier post, the kind that makes you want to share the link with friends working in the same area, and a stop at dondatheverge only made me more confident in doing that, this site is one of the better resources I have seen on the topic recently across both new and older posts.

My time on this site has now extended past what I had budgeted, and a stop at sega-live keeps extending it further, content that overstays its budget in my schedule is content that has earned the extra time and this site has been earning extra time across multiple visits to the point where my schedule needs adjustment.

Quiet confidence runs through the whole post, no need to shout to make the points stick, and a stop at ulviroline carried that same restrained voice forward, content that respects the reader by trusting its own substance rather than dressing it up in theatrical language is what I look for online and rarely actually find these days.

  • Xanderped · 08/01/2026 at 8:57 PM

Honestly informative, the writer covers the ground without showing off, and a look at maverotrustline reflected the same humility, content that respects the reader rather than trying to dazzle them is something I always appreciate and rarely come across in this corner of the internet today across the topics I usually read.

Approaching this site through a casual link click and being surprised by what I found, and a look at ulvionbond extended the surprise, the rare experience of stumbling into excellent independent content rather than predictable mediocrity is one of the actual remaining pleasures of casual web browsing and this site provided it cleanly.

Found the writing surprisingly fresh for what is by now a well covered topic, and a stop at zylavocapital kept that freshness going across the related pages, original perspective on familiar ground is hard to come by and this site has clearly earned its place in the conversation rather than just rehashing old ideas.

Genuine pleasure to read, and that is not something I say often after a casual click through, and a quick visit to pelix kept the same feeling going across the rest of the site, finding writing that actually feels good to spend time with rather than just functional is increasingly rare on the open web.

  • Kyrieneete · 08/01/2026 at 9:21 PM

Left me wanting to read more rather than feeling burned out, that is a good sign, and a look at xelariounion confirmed there is plenty more here to explore, the kind of writing that builds appetite rather than killing it which is a rare quality on the modern open internet today across most categories of content.

Really appreciate the absence of stock photos that have nothing to do with the content, and a quick visit to OldSchoolOpen maintained the same restraint, visual filler is a tell that the writing cannot stand on its own and the lack of it here suggests the team has confidence in their content quality alone.

  • Wyattnip · 08/01/2026 at 9:23 PM

Worth flagging that the writing rewarded a second read more than I expected, and a look at maverotrustline produced the same second read benefit, content with hidden depths that emerge only on careful rereading is rare in the modern blog space and this site has clearly invested in that level of compositional density throughout.
