I heard that jowl bacon is really good so I picked up a few packs last time I ordered from Scott Hams I think it still had the rind on it, because it was like a hard piece of plastic when I was slicing it. I ended up trimming it off each piece after slicing. The smell was the usual uber smoke from them. It fried up really clear and was very greasy. Its flavor was not all that different, but the texture was firmer because the meat ratio was so low. unique, but not something I would order again on purpose. Their regular bacon is more of what I am used too and so darn good.
