Dkay, a frequent commenter here at BorK asked me to pass along info about the American Heart Associations heart walk 2009.
There have been many busy days at the pharmacy and I’ve often said that busy days make the time pass quickly, but I now wish for slow days. I realize the busy days mean people, and their families, are hurting, and it pushes me to do more. I am happy to be participating in the American Heart Association Heart Walk, which was brought to my attention by other walkers at the hospital. The following message is a template provided by the AHA. Please take it as if it is coming directly from my own mouth. Help me get some slow days at work, will you?
It’s personal. With heart disease and stroke taking more lives than the next seven causes of death combined, you can’t help but make it personal. I’m walking for those already affected, and I’m walking to make sure that everyone is aware of their personal risks, to create hope that we can make someone else’s future bright.
My personal goal is to raise funds for the American Heart Association and I need your help to reach my donation goal. We are raising critical dollars for heart disease and stroke research and education.
You can “walk with me†by making a donation online. Click on the link below and you will be taken to my personal donation page where you can make a secure online credit card donation. The American Heart Association’s online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00.
If anyone wants to make a smaller donation let me know and we can figure something out.
Thanks for doing this Dkay, helping others is awesome.
