Been practicing my Spanish. I will fit right in.

So helped a friend set up a wireless router and a home network. She gave me some garden maters and it worked out perfectly cuz we planned on having BLT’s for din din. Swung by Hy Vee to pick up some bacon. I saw many kinds I have not tried.

IMG_7272.JPG

Hormel uncured was first up. I really do not know what about it is not cured. I guess they just smoked the pork belly after injecting it with salt water. BTW: that is bad. Was still smokey and shrunk up a bunch. It was really hard to seperate the pieces cuz it was thin and really loose.

The flavor was actually really good. Pretty much a regular bacon, bot not too intense. Seemed to not be too processed which made it stand out. It will make it to the next round.

IMG_7276.JPG

Next up Hormel again with their black label maple bacon.
IMG_7273.JPG

Firm pieces that were not too long. T asked what smells like maple syrup with a disgusted look on her face. The smell was nowhere near natural. It reminded me of the single bite of a McGriddle that has ever made it past my teeth.

I toughed it out and tried it. The fake maple flavor was not too intense until I used it on my sammich. It is horrible. Never ever again. I would rather eat facon, ready to serve bacon, turkey bacon, and even beggin strips before I would try this again.

I seriously thought it was maple smoked, not fake maple flavored. Bacon does not need flavoring you bastards. Bacon is flavor.

Honestly the simplicity is what makes this work the topic is not buried under filler words or overly complex examples and a quick look at mirthlinnet showed the same sensible style I left with what I came for and no headache from over reading which is a real win these days.

Now adding this to a short list of sites I would defend in a conversation about the modern web and a look at trailharbormerchantlane reinforced that defence list the few sites that serve as evidence the web can still produce good things are precious and this one has clearly joined that small list of exemplary sites.

Just sat back at the end of the post and felt grateful that someone took the time to write it and a look at embermeadowboutique extended that gratitude across more of the site recognising effort behind quality work is part of what makes the open web a community rather than just a marketplace today.

Reading this triggered a small change in how I think about the topic going forward and a stop at jewelstoneemporium reinforced that subtle shift the rare content that actually moves my thinking rather than just confirming or filling it is the kind I most value and this site is providing that kind of impact today.

Picked this for my morning read because the topic seemed worth the time and a look at calmstonecollective confirmed the choice was right my morning reading slot is precious and giving it to this site felt like a good investment rather than a waste which is a higher endorsement than I usually offer for content.

  • AlonzoPam · 10/01/2026 at 2:23 AM

Honestly the simplicity of the explanation made the topic click for me in a way other writeups had not and a look at jasperstonecourtyard continued that clarity into related areas when a writer gets the level of explanation right the reader does the heavy lifting themselves and the post just enables it.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sensible take on this topic without the usual marketing nonsense and a look at clovercovevendorhall kept that grounded approach going sites that stay focused on serving readers rather than monetising every click are rare and this is clearly one of those rare ones I really appreciate finding.
