1974 Gottlieb Sky Jump electro-mechanical joins the lineup
Got this at an amazingly great price. Rob, my neighbor helped me get it downstairs. It is a 1974 Sky Jump Gottlieb Electro mechanical wedge head machine.
It is in a bit of rough shape, but is about 90% working. I have really been thinking about getting an EM machine for a while. They can be a huge pain in the butt, but once working they stay working for a long time. It is missing rubbers all over it and bulbs, but the guy bought a full rubber and light kit which he included. The ball trough kicker is acting wonky, so I will work on that first. It looks like the coil has been unwound in a previous repair and might just be a switch. The playfield has very little wear, but there is cracking in the paint for sitting unwaxed for so long.
I am not looking to fully restore it, but will keep it playing good for sure. The chime bars sound so awesome. Like old school doorbells.
