A truck carrying peanut butter and jelly sandwiches overturned on U.S. 52, closing a stretch of the highway between Durango and Sageville.
The semitrailer was hauling about 24,000 pounds of sandwiches early Monday when it flipped onto its side north of Sageville, according to authorities. While crews unloaded the boxes, the road was closed to all traffic but emergency vehicles.
Thanks to Gene who says:
Jerry Johnston from NET said it took 3,500 gallons of milk to wash it all down.
