My neighbor growing up had a cedar closet. It smelled magical and she told me it was made that way to keep the moths away. I hope you never get moths in your beard, but I found it so intriguing and loved to just sit in there and enjoy the aroma. Many decades later my friend set me up with and awesome set of cedar stairs to my front porch. A couple years back we bought cedar fence pickets to turn into bird houses that we shared with many friends. The wood is natural and repels bugs. They have weathered to be super rustic looking. Still, not one nest, but we hold out hope. It is a pricey wood, but so beautiful and on moist mornings I get that sweet scent of cedar like this balm provides.
