Theresa’s work is having movie day and Theresa wanted to wow her coworkers. They gonna watch Stardust and eat snacks in stead of working. Sounds good to me.
Pig candy is pretty simple. Bacon, brown sugar, black pepper, and some cayenne at 300 degrees. Flip a few times. Must cook till crisp. Soggy pig candy is not good.
Goal post crunch is candy coated chex mix. I like to add cinnamon to it, but it is still awesome if you use the standard recipe.
Goalpost Crunch
* 9 oz mini pretzels
* 6 cups rice or corn chex
* 1 cup peanuts
* 1 cup brown sugar
* 1/2 cup butter
* 1/4 cup light corn syrup
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1/2 teaspoon soda
Combine pretzels, chex and peanuts in large bowl and set aside. In a 2 qt glass bowl mix together the brown sugar, butter and corn syrup.
Microwave on high until mixture boils ( 3 to 3 1/2 minutes ). Stir once to dissolve sugar. Microwave on 30% for 4 minutes on until mixture is golden brown. Stir in vanilla and soda.
Pour over dry pretzel mixture. Toss to coat evenly. Microwave on high uncovered 4 1/2 to 5 minutes or until lightly glossed. Stir twice. Spoon onto waxed paper. Cool and break into pieces. Store in air tight container.
