Took the car in cuz I had a rear tire slow leak, get the oil changed (I usually do it myself, but it fricking cold), and a alignment. melichars at 9th and P said they could get it done by noon.
He called and asked me why I thought the alignment was borked, me splain, he calls back and says. I fixed the alignment, balanced the front tires, took it for a test drive a “at about 10 MPH my butt is wiggling, put it back on the rack and found what it was”
My rear tire had failed and had a huge bulge, the steel belt was showing and shredding. “you would not have made it across Lincoln”, I am headed to Lawrence.
Phew…… new rubber and I will be out in a few minutes.
