Hollenbeck Farms Crave restaurant is darn good

Made our first visit to Crave last night. I had heard so many good things about the place. When trying out a new place I usually go with a standard item to get a general feel for the place. If it is Mexican food I get chicken enchiladas, at crave I went for a bacon cheeseburger. We got a side of waffle fries and cheese bites.

The burger was fantastic. I am no stranger to Hollenbeck meat, and the burger was a bit pink in the middle and juicy. The bun from Le Quartier looked like a nicely browned hard roll, but it was very delicate and almost buttery. Only let down was the 1.5 pieces of bacon.

The fries were good, but the cheese bites were simply awesome. They use Jisa cheese and what seems like a funnel cake batter. Sweet, cheesy, and greasy with all the bits of fried batter that broke loose in the fryer. A very unique taste that has me wanting to go back.

We will be back again for sure. You do pay a bit more for the quality, but was completely worth it.
