The Der Red Max is a classic Estes rocket that is easy to build, short, and chubby. Not the highest flyer, but flies good. My mini rockets just zip up, but this one takes some power and gets going a bit slower and was fun to build and launch. I decided to make it gold and black and skipped the decals. I sorta skipped proper painting techniques and just got it done because I was excited to launch it.
I have only flown it once and ate it hard jumping over a snow plow berm onto the icy street to get it back.
