For some reason ubuntu 8.4 just did not play well on my work computer. I was rebooting a couple times a day from stuff locking up. I like debian based distros and looked for an alternative. I have tried linux mint before and loaded that up. I was not aware how close to ubuntu it was though. Even the sources.list is 3/4 ubuntu repos. They change a few things and offer more multimedia stuff installed by default, but it is built on ubuntu and feels the same. I have yet to have an issue in the past couple days. Me happy.
