Trouble At’ Mill a new Wallace & Gromit film being made

Filed under: TV, movies — beerorkid @ Oct 3rd, 2007

Article

Creator Nick Park has revealed to fans details of the next Aardman Animations venture which follows the award-winning A Close Shave and The Wrong Trousers.

Trouble At’ Mill, to be shown on BBC1, is a return to the 30 minute format after feature-length Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

It sees flat-cap favourite Wallace in his new bakery where he is ‘dough-eyed’ in love with bread enthusiast Piella Bakewell.

W&G site where you can watch a vid of it.

When we were first dating we watched their first ones and have liked all the stuff they have put out. Pretty cited.

Bush fixes danny’s leg

But you’d be WRONG! He’s about 30 seconds and some dramatic music away from fixing Danny Larusso’s leg so he can beat those jerks from Cobra Kai!

 Stardust

Filed under: Reviews, movies — beerorkid @ Aug 19th, 2007

After a full day of cooking and eating well T wanted to take me to a movie. Her parents saw Stardust and said it was awesome. “if you liked the princess bride, you will enjoy it” Her dad said.

I gotta say the previews and lack of hype made me go in not expecting much. It was really really good. We will definitely rent it once it comes out cuz I enjoyed it that much, and I hardly ever want to see movies again.

Action, love, good vs evil, fantasy, and very well done humor. Extra bonus points for not making me cry ;)
The princess bride is one of my all time favorites, and I can see why Tom said that. The joy you feel when watching either makes a good movie. If not in the theaters you watch, rent it.

Oh and for being really old Michelle Pheiffer was looking pretty good for a bit there.

 GZ slams Evan Almighty

GZ

Filled with the same kind of soft, goopy preaching that spoiled “Bruce Almighty,” “Evan Almighty” has zero edge and does nothing to take advantage of Carell’s talent that was fully on display in “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” and “Little Miss Sunshine,” two comedies that had some bite.

Here, he’s stuck in the doldrums, unable to find a foil or, surprisingly, present Evan’s uncomfortable move to ark builder with his usual physical hilarity. Here’s hoping this isn’t the start of a long, downhill slide for the star of “The Office.”

It’s not really that much of a surprise that “Evan Almighty” is the summer’s first true stinkball. It appeared to be a reach to begin with — a sequel to a picture that wasn’t all that good that didn’t bring back the star of the show.

rottentomatoes gave it a 22%

Still I will see it. T and I love schtupid humor

A person with ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed.
