I love how I can shamelessly plug my site on BorK’s site. LOL! Teee heee hee he.

Saw this the other night when I thought oh hey I’ll just fill up my water bottle at the faucet on the front of the house instead of going back upstairs through the house. I don’t know what the heck kind of bug this is, but it was HUGE. You can kind of tell from the railing how big it was. And yes that is zoomed in because there was no way I was getting close to it. I’d put a closer zoomed in picture up, but I think this one is frightening enough.

THIS is a slug. I call this type the “pickle slug” cuz it kind of looks like a pickle. When I first moved into the house a few years ago we had the smaller ones all over the front steps at night. Now I rarely look out there for fear of stepping on one. But this the kind I see more often now. On the left of the slug is actually some grass, that is not part of the slug. I have another close up picture but the slug kind of radiated a shine with the flash so it is even more scary.

 (Hopefully the picture is an okay size. My first time posting…)

On the way home from the ride last night I phoned Theresa to let her know I was still all connected together and on my way home. She told me there was a slug in the basement harassing her with its beady little eyes. She wanted me to deal with the little sucker. I had named it Hernando and envisioned a 3 to 4 inch thick slug leaving a trail of slime all over the basement and wreaking havoc.

Got home and jumped into hero mode. She stood at the top of the stairs and pointed in Hernando’s general direction. I could not find him. I figured a big ol slug would be easy to spot. Theresa saw him on the floor but I still had to search cuz I could not imagine he would be such a little fella. He was so cute. I took him out back and attached him to a sunflower stalk and wished him well.

Really wondering how he got in the basement and if his brothers and sisters are still hanging around.

So far 205 monkeys have died. They so cute.

It appears that the I like turtles kid has reached superstardom with a slew of videos based on the original. here’s some of my favorites. I couldn’t get them working, anyways you can look at them the old fashioned way.
