LJS Restaurant inspections page is all fanchy now
I love reading the Restaurant inspections page. It was kind of a bummer that it only got updated every now and then and the list only went about a month back. I dealt with the health inspectors during my days in food service and enjoy them. My fave is when the sanitizing solution is too strong or not labeled, cuz that is the very first thing you scurry to fix when the inspector shows up. Now the list goes way back and has an interactive map. Purdy cool.
Bummer you cannot comment on them anymore though. Loved reading peoples reactions.
Anyone know if Lincoln/Lancaster Co Health has an official database available online? About 2 years ago I called them up (wanted to know about the BK on south and 17th after witnessing a horrible incident there) and they said they were still working on it.
Anyway, I like the one about El Chaparro - broken axe handle used as stirrer, LOL - I eat there from time to time.
