oh yeah I totally forgot what I was posting below with the external USB thing
So the weekend was cool getting the USB hard drive to work and the extra internal storage on the computer. I was messing with it because I was fixing a friends computer. I used a linux live CD (ubuntu) to transfer his whole hard drive over to my USB drive.
I am privileged to work on many folks puters cuz they muck them all up with malware. This is the first one where I was able to just use the restore partition build into most new computers. It was so simple I was amazed. It literally tool 15 minutes. No searching for drivers and installing crap. I did add some antivirus and firefox.
At the country club, one of the other bartenders has been passing his lonely time in the stag bar looking up dodgy porn sites. I spent all day today removing spyware. Got it all except for one malicious little thing that messes with your dns. About one in three clicks on links gets redirected to one of many shady search websites. Very annoying.
