To Whom it may concern,

After almost 23 years at P O Pears my tenure as the cook, busboy, bartender, bus driver and owner/operator is over. I would like to take this time to thank all the wonderful people that I have had the chance to work with: customers, vendors and employees alike. I know, and am proud of the fact, that this Big Red building has held a lot of special memories for many people. I am sad to say that I was unable to sell Pears as an ongoing business and will instead be selling the land and building, the artifacts, and the furniture and fixtures separately. Over the years I have been fortunate to operate what I felt was one of Lincoln, Nebraska’s most unique landmarks, but times have changed and it is time for me (and my family) to move on.

Our last day open to the public will be Saturday, March 23rd. Our final show here will be one of the best we have ever had, a special performance by 176 Keys Dueling Pianos act. Advance tickets will be sold and I encourage you to stop in and get yours now. The auction will be Friday, April 18th for the artifacts and memorabilia. I encourage all of you for whom this place holds a special memory to consider attending the auction and owning a special piece of Lincoln History.

If you are one of the customers I have had the pleasure of serving throughout the years, thank you so much for your repeat business. If you are one of the many current and former employees that I have had the pleasure of working alongside, thanks so much for going on this ride with me and your efforts in the past.
