Bartender scams, but the vid is a scam
Being a bartender for 6 years and a guy who enjoys a good drink now and then I find this to be the dumbest crap ever.
Mostly the bartender is looking for tips. Why would he cheat customers and hurt his chance at a good tip while loosing the chance for customers to return? And if a boss is that cheap they cannot be doing all that well with the biz.
Any the gin on the rim thing, WTF? Sorry that is just too dumb.

$9.50 USD for a screwdriver sounds like a scam to me.
But the other stuff, yeah pretty much bull. That gin trick is a good idea though. Might have to try that.

This happens all the time but not to a person that just walked in. I used to bartend and after you get a steady flow of people at your bar that have been drinking all night they can’t tell the taste from water to vodka. Also if you have been bartender and are good you can remember over 40 faces to there drinks, so you know which ones are drunk and can tell and which ones aren’t. Did it all the time. So if your sloshed most likely you are getting a watered down or skimpy drink. You can also make a good amount off young businessmen, pump there ego, load’em up on vodka tonics (btw the typical “cool guy” drink) and you get 5’s and 10’s in your tip jar all night. Sorry but your drinking experience (if hammered) is just like any other highly addictive drug…bad

ahhh yes the drunker husker would get a light pour for sure. But I did that to protect the bar, not to make the bar more profit.
