This makes me smile every day at work. I think they started the fire just to make the guy face plant on the last step.

Pretty stoked that I got to use the unicorn tag. I almost invented the bears vs unicorns tag but decided to go with Unicorn Wars.

I am a pinball fanatic. I have two machines in my house, Pinbot and Bride of Pinbot the Machine. Yup they are husband and wife (we leave them alone all the time but have never come home to find a Jackbot). I used to know the location of every pinball machine in town. But VVS bought out the locals and well every machine was set up to maximize profit. I can still kick the machines ass, but it is lame. The outlanes are settable and VVS wants you to drain.

I was getting a tire fixed for the truck and headed to The Pub on 11th since I knew they always have a pinball machine. It was roller coaster tycoon. VVS now makes you put in $2 for 5 games. Back in the day it was 3 games for $1, but oh well. On my second game I had mastered the settings and got the highest score, grand champion, which gave me one credit. At least I had hit the replay while getting that score. I played for about an hour and left 4 credits on her.

Hmmmmm…. maybe after the meet and greet we can swing by my place and play some pinball.

EDIT: I need to mention I hardly place on machines that get used a bunch, Sometimes 3rd or so. A guy with “BER” is my nemissis. I played with him at Big Johns one afternoon on this same machine. Dude had skills. I am sloppy but can save, he was precise. It turns out his name id Bernie, it was not the short for beer.

So at work we needed a USB external USB drive to make some file transfers a bit easier. A nice guy headed to Best Buy and picked one of these bad boys up. I had looked into these since they are pretty cheap and although not networkable, they can be mounted to a PC and be shared on your network.

I had read that they only worked in windows or mac and you had to access some website to be able to use them. I had no idea he would come back with one, and was a bit bummed when it showed up. I had to test so I hooked it up to mu ubuntu linux box. It worked out of the box and I was able to create a folder, delete said folder, and share it on the network.

Sure you could just put a 500gb drive in your PC, but this is very nice. I will be getting one for myself here sometime. heck my RAID 5 ubuntunas box only holds 600gb and it needs a whole PC.

So got in today a bit before 9 AM, headed out about an hour later to get some morning grub and headed to BK. Two bacon, egg, and cheese crossanwiches, which I call morning drano, and I was filled with bacony goodness and a heaping helping of grease. Ate it in a park with a nice gentleman sleeping on the bench across from me.

Work, work, work, work, and then someone showed up with some spicy pork rinds. They are gross as hell, but taste pert near bacon. mmmmmmmmmm………………….
currently at 86 hours so far this week, many more to go.

Em made these awesome shirts up. I got one for Theresa for Xmas and she wears it on weekends. She also wears the LRB&SC shirt she got from them.

I rode the MOOTS in today just cuz it has been so long. Man I wish I was out on the dirt instead of traversing my 80 + hours of work this week.
