hello folks (waving at screen)
Getting there. Headed home about 7PM last night, 61 hours this week so far, prob 20 + more to go.
Had a couple nice vodka and cranberry juices, oh man it was nice.
Slept for 10 hours, fully charged and things are going pretty good right now.
We have brought another SAN (storage area network) online plus a VTL (Virtual tape library). this will never happen again now that we have worked in redundancy.
HP has been working really hard for us. They have gone above and beyond the support level we are at to make sure we survive this hardware failure.
also a huge shout out to ESS data recovery. Ben their SAN recovery expert is rocking. He has been pulling the long hours as well. Searching through 2TB of raw data is a bunch of work. We set him up with a server and he is getting into it with gotomypc.com. We have presented him the borked LUN and some others for scratch disks through HBA’s. We should be able to recover most lost VM’s

I left a bunch out. I am a computer geek to the core, it is my job.
I have learned so much this week, oh man.
