SS makes some good jerky. It seems to be different at each location. 48th & O has really thin strips with bunches of salt and perrer. More of a crunchy. 27th and Pine Lake have a chewier flavor and there is some strange ingredient that makes it taste different. They also make ground / formed jerky that is all right. Even buffalo every now and then.

I have tried the slab bacon from the 48th and O I think. I can't recall what I thought of it. I think I cut it a bit too thick. But as in jerky, I bet the bacon is a bit better at one of the locations.

We hit every SS too find the one we liked the best. We currently hit up the 27th and Pine lake.

To be honest, Super Saver has good bacon. In their stores' meat sections they have the meat they smoke themselves and they sell the bacon slabs. Then you can slick it as thick or thin as you want it. It's been very good when I've tried it.
