panic attack last night. Our universal remote borked

The harmony 880 universal remote kicks fricking butt. It is the only remote we need and is just too easy. Last night it just died. We panicked and tried to search for the 6 remotes it replaced. I went into destructo mode an popped the back off and saw the LCD light up for a second. Just cleaned the battery contacts and it was all better. Phew….
As far as gadgets go that remote is one of the best ones I have ever had. Very happy it is still kicking.

Ever have problems getting it to charge when you place it on the cradle? Mine will beep twice, but then it rises out of the groove and beeps again (active). It is frustrating, because you will think it is charging (only two beeps), but then you come in the room later and the damn thing keeps beeping charging/not charging.
My only other gripe is having to go online to change the settings. It would be nice to have full programmability built into the puter.

yeah ours is even a bit worse. T burned the remote a bit with a cig and well getting it to charge is quite a challenge now.
one nice thing about it being web based is it gets updated to new things pretty fast. It knew what a wii was last time we used it.

They should have made it chargable via the USB connect as a back-up. I wouldn’t mind plugging it in when I’m done with it for the day. What a poor design flaw in such a great device.

She’s going to give it the black lung.

burn marks make it tougher
yeah charge via USB would of been awesome, like my phone.
Also having to use windows and internet explorer is quite a bummer, but it still rules.
