A person with ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed.

Yes! Thanks for posting this - had never seen it! Ahhhh…the good old days, Carell, Colbert….and what about Corddry? I anxiously awaited and watched that new “The Winner” show on Sunday and was disappointed. I have a bad feeling that - unless he can find a good vehicle - poor Rob won’t ever reach the comic level he did back on the Daily Show.

yeah the winner was mediocre.
I really did not like the parents, and the whole relationship with the younger kid made me feel dirty. I hope the next one is better or it is hosed.
I am still amazed that war at home is still on. The annoying New Yorker guy bugs me.

I watched about 10 minutes of the Winner. Couldn’t get into it. I’m amazed that War at Home is still on too, but Fox has a habit of hanging on to shows longer than they should (”Stacked” for example). I do like Michael Rappaport as an actor though. Despite my love of the Office, I still don’t care for Carell much though. I’m working on it.

40 year old virgin ruled.

40 yr old Virgin was great. But IMHO Corddry’s “The Bobby Dukes Story” was better (albeit very underrated). Rob Riggle was great in it.
JSchwa - Dude, I agree Carell can be a bit over the top at times, but still you gotta admit, its the best show on the networks now.

I’ll agree that it’s the best show on the networks, I tune in every week. It’s just Carell personally that I don’t like. I’m working on it though. It’s the other characters in the series that do it for me. Especially Creed, Stanley, and Tobey. Minor characters are so much more interesting to me.
