Oh well.  Even though it was a pretty nice bike, it was the only one I would of considered locking up outside with the chance of it being ganked.  I have a couple others and rode my moots to work today.  It is right next to me.  I will continue to do so till they offer a secure place to store my bike at work.</description>

Here's a little more bad news (sorry): if the cops find your ride at a pawn shop, at the pawn shops discretion, you might have to buy it back from them. I think cops recover stolen property most often via the pawn shops, and if they just confiscated what they find, then the shop owners would have no motivation to buy the stolen goods in the first place for the cops to recover.

But, to get to the point, Kryptonite backs up their stuff with some kind of guarantee, don't they? I'm not sure of the details, but you might check into it from that angle.
