Man do I need some time in my church
Posted by beerorkid in bikes, biking community, wilderness park

With the Cloe being sick, and myself getting smacked down with a cold. This has been kind of a bummer week for me. I hardly am ever depressed, bummed, grumpy or mad. heck you can always count on me for a smile, but I am a little blue curently.
With 7 straight weekends of rain and wet singletrack out in wilderness my weekends have been not filled with my favorite activity. Looks clear this weekend though. I will be out there all weekend. looks as if CVO will be out there with friends, and I am sure I will see them.
Nothing fills me up with joy like my church, wilderness. Anyone interested in riding let me know.

Indeed, you may be surprised to learn how your favorite celebrities and role models are using blood! Bill O’Reilly drinks hot infant’s blood every morning instead of coffee. He states, “Fresh-squeezed is best!” John Ashcroft luxuriates in a bath of Virgin’s Blood every fortnight; he swears it keeps his thoughts pure and his 137-year-old skin soft and supple.
I have absolutely no clue WTF this is about.
A 47 year old spandex clad over the bars freak.

She is 61 in dog years and she has some mass in her. it is pushing all her organs and stuff to one side.
We got an ultrasound done and her liver looks a little messed up as well. It might be her spleen, or a tumor, or something else. Whatever it is it is big, dense, and she is filled with fluid.
She is anemic, her red blood count is low at 24%. It should be around 34% and at 15% she will not function. This kinda points to it being her spleen. We can do exploritory surgery and they can remove the spleen if it is the problem. Thing is we do not know if she would survive the surgery cuz of her anemia. If it is a tumor or something else wrapped up in arteries and whatnot it would be too hard to remove.
She is currently on steroids to help her get that blood count up higher. We just really do not know what to do currently. It is not the money, it is the time we can still be with her.
She is doing much better today. Got that smile and pooped full of energy and we will just see.
Prob gonna go to the vet and ask a few more questions.

getting closer on Beryl (used to be compiz)
Posted by beerorkid in Beryl / Compiz Fusion, pc/linux, ubuntu

So it has been a rough couple of weeks for people wanting to install the newest stuff in compiz.
Beryl is the new fork of the quinnstorm debs I host here (1.5 million hits a month). The old packages have been removed and it is frustratriting folks.
Well the wait is almost over.
according to the Beryl Blog 0.1.0 is scheduled to release today or tomorrow – at least we hope so.
